Lesson 1. Predestination

Who are predestined to be saved?

It is held by some today that our individual destiny is fixed by God, and regardless of all effort on our part we are saved or lost according to the decision made by Him, and have therefore no responsibility concerning our own eternal state. This has caused some to be careless with regard to their responsibility to God and their fellow-humans. Such theories are based on a superficial reading of references to predestination without due consideration of other texts that counterbalance and illuminate them. It is the purpose of this important lesson to study this subject from the Word of God so that we may know our personal relationship to our own final destiny.
